Housekeeper – Facility Cleaning & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within our medical facility. The role supports FMCNA’s mission by ensuring all patient‑facing areas and equipment are properly cleaned and disinfected.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect all patient, visitor and staff areas, including bathrooms, kitchens, waiting rooms, treatment rooms and selected exterior spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility equipment such as televisions, computers, HVAC units, vents and furniture.
• Manage waste disposal, including regular, bio‑hazard and recyclable materials, in accordance with facility policies.
• Maintain and organize cleaning supply areas, monitor inventory and report supply needs.
• Report maintenance issues such as leaking faucets, clogged drains or equipment problems to the appropriate team.
• Perform specialized cleaning of dialysis preparation areas, dialysis stations and related equipment using proper solutions and techniques.
• Document, label, dilute and handle disinfectants safely, following MSDS and HMIS guidelines.
• Assist with basic physical plant tasks such as painting, bulb replacement, minor repairs and moving heavy items.
• Initiate the reverse‑osmosis (RO) machine and conduct initial water‑quality testing as required.

Required profile

• Ability to follow safety procedures and handle chemicals according to MSDS/HMIS standards.
• Physical capability to lift, carry and move heavy objects and equipment.
• Attention to detail for thorough cleaning, waste segregation and inventory tracking.
• Willingness to work in a medical environment and cooperate with technical or nursing staff.

Required skills

• Operating reverse‑osmosis (RO) equipment and performing water‑quality tests.
• Handling, labeling and diluting disinfectants safely.
• Inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Use of standard cleaning tools (vacuum, floor scrubber, waxer) and techniques.
