Graduate Registered Nurse – Children and Adolescents

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Graduate Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting. The RN will assess physical and mental health needs, develop individualized care plans, and educate patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs and document findings.
• Develop, implement, and update nursing care plans based on assessments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and educate patients/families about conditions.
• Ensure physicians' orders are legible, transcribed correctly, and communicated promptly.
• Monitor patient status continuously and report significant changes to physicians.
• Administer medications, including controlled substances, following proper protocols.
• Complete admission and discharge processes efficiently.
• Apply universal precautions and maintain therapeutic rapport while respecting professional boundaries.
• Coordinate unit activities as directed and communicate professionally with all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited nursing school.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of employment or eligibility to practice.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience; psychiatric or substance‑use experience is a plus.
• CPR certification and training in de‑escalation and restraint (provided if needed).
• First‑aid certification as required by state or facility.
