Go Developer – Backend Microservices (m/f/d)

About the role

Join Siemens Mobility's Sqills team in Aveiro as a Go Developer, working on the innovative S3 Passenger platform for public transport. You will be part of an Agile DevOps squad that builds high‑performance backend microservices in the AWS cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Go‑based microservices for the S3 Passenger platform.
• Translate functional specifications into robust software solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, testers and product owners in an Agile DevOps environment.
• Ensure high performance, scalability and availability of services handling hundreds of requests per second.
• Work closely with IMS teams from HaCon and eos.uptrade and support occasional travel to the Netherlands or other sites.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Informatics or a related field.
• Professional experience in web or backend development.
• Hands‑on experience with Go and at least one of Java, Kotlin, Rust or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with SaaS applications and microservice architecture (a plus).
• Knowledge of AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong interest in serverless computing, monitoring, secure development, high performance and high availability.
• Good communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
