Global IT Site Reliability Engineer Senior Manager

About the role

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will lead the reliability engineering capability for a defined area within BCG, covering infrastructure, cloud, observability, automation, identity, security, and network operations. You will apply engineering thinking to reduce operational toil, improve system resilience, and embed reliability into delivery and operational workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Run and continuously improve reliability engineering systems, including automation pipelines, observability platforms, and operational tooling.
• Design and implement solutions that eliminate operational toil at scale and embed reliability into delivery workflows.
• Shape engineering standards, patterns, and reusable frameworks across the SRE practice.
• Lead engineering response to complex incidents, drive systemic remediation, and contribute to post‑incident learning.
• Mentor and coach less senior engineers on reliability engineering, automation, observability, and SRE principles.
• Drive cross‑team collaboration with engineering, platform, and operations functions to embed reliability and governance.
• Communicate status, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and leadership forums.
• Contribute to monthly operational reviews with metrics on service health, pipeline performance, and automation coverage.

Required profile

• Senior practitioner comfortable operating across multiple SRE domains.
• Proven ability to balance delivery with mentorship.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate engineering trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
