About the role
We are looking for a Frontend Tech Lead to drive the development of our retail and e‑commerce platform. The role combines hands‑on coding with technical leadership, ensuring high performance, accessibility and scalability.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Design and implement scalable frontend architecture using React and React Native.
- Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and optimise application speed and accessibility.
Required profile
- 6‑10 years of professional frontend development experience.
- 4+ years in a technical leadership or senior engineering role with team mentoring responsibilities.
- Proven experience delivering e‑commerce platforms and retail technology solutions.
Required skills
- React, React Native
- TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- State management (Redux, Zustand)
- Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps
- Microservices, event‑driven architectures
- SQL / NoSQL databases
- CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes
- Performance optimisation, WCAG accessibility, responsive design
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) – a plus
