Finance Director – New MRO Facility in Portugal

About the role

We are establishing a new MRO facility near Porto and need a Finance Director to lead all financial functions. You will ensure accurate IFRS reporting, strong governance and provide strategic financial insight as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee corporate governance, tax, risk, FP&A, treasury, funding and legal matters.
• Define and implement the commercial strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Translate strategic priorities into measurable KPIs focusing on revenue growth, cost optimisation and liquidity.
• Lead finance transformation, operational optimisation and reporting improvements.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance, including transfer‑pricing requirements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial closing and reporting processes.
• Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to top management.
• Lead, develop and motivate the finance team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Fluency in English (mandatory); Portuguese considered, German a plus.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and organisational skills.
• Excellent intercultural communication abilities.
• ACC​A certification is recommended.
• Legal right to live and work in Portugal.
