EMEA Counsel – Offboarding & Litigation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced EMEA Counsel to own offboarding, pre‑litigation and litigation matters across the region. You will act as the in‑house specialist on employment law, statutory due process and dispute resolution, ensuring every termination and contentious matter is handled with legal rigor and commercial sensibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end offboarding, pre‑litigation and litigation across EMEA, including for‑cause terminations, redundancies, collective dismissals and contentious exits.
• Lead disciplinary and consultation processes, statutory filings and represent the company before agencies, tribunals and works councils.
• Conduct case intake, fact‑finding and risk assessments for employee‑relations matters.
• Guide internal teams through statutory due process from notice to settlement and clearance.
• Lead or support hearings, mediation, arbitration and litigation, advising on sanctions and resolution strategy.
• Review termination notices, separation agreements and supporting evidence for defensibility.
• Assess litigation exposure, develop hearing strategy and provide commercially‑framed updates.
• Serve as primary contact for external counsel, negotiate fees and ensure quality control.
• Partner with HR, Customer Success, Sales, Payroll, Onboarding and Legal teams to improve offboarding frameworks and product requirements.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in employment litigation in at least one core EMEA jurisdiction.
• Proven ability to navigate complex multi‑jurisdictional matters.
• Solution‑oriented mindset suited to a fast‑paced, client‑facing global environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate legal requirements into actionable product improvements.
