Digital Architect Lead

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Digital Architect Lead to provide strategic direction and oversee high‑level system architecture for the L2 Operations and Platforms team within Digital and Zero Touch Operations (ZTO). The role ensures technology solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organisational goals while driving innovation and evaluating emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain high‑level system architecture for the Digital and ZTO L2 Ops and Platforms area.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and development teams to ensure alignment with architectural principles.
• Lead evaluations of emerging technologies and assess their impact on the organisation’s architecture.
• Drive innovation initiatives that enhance architectural integrity and strategic objectives.
• Provide guidance on architectural decisions to ensure consistency, scalability, and security.
• Conduct regular architectural reviews and audits.
• Mentor and coach Solution Architects and development teams on best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in system architecture and technology.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience as a System Architect or in a similar role designing complex, scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks and principles.
• Proficiency with system and software architecture tools and technologies.
• Solid technical background in coding and IT architectures.
• Experience with agile product development practices.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication and decision‑making skills at senior‑level interactions.
