DevOps / Platform Engineer

About the role

Celfocus is looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to design, build and operate its Group Data Platform. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, reliable cloud‑native data services that turn data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab, automating deployments across all environments.
• Operate and optimise AWS workloads (ECS, EC2, Glue, Athena, CloudFront, WAF) and support containerised micro‑services using Docker and ECS.
• Monitor platform health with Datadog or Coralogix, troubleshoot incidents and drive continuous reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with data, development and architecture teams to promote best‑practice DevOps processes and enable platform adoption.

Required profile

• 4‑5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, Glue, Athena, CloudFront and WAF.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab.
• Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals and container technologies (Docker, micro‑services).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog or Coralogix and with production support and incident management.
