DevOps Engineer for International Project

About the role

IRIUM is seeking a DevOps Engineer to lead the migration of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) projects across organizations for an international initiative. The role combines hands‑on cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, and collaboration with security and networking teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing GCP setups, including projects, folders, IAM policies and networking (VPCs, Shared VPCs, peering, VPNs).
• Design, prepare and execute migration of GCP projects between organizations while ensuring alignment with target standards.
• Maintain minimal downtime and manage controlled cut‑over processes.
• Validate post‑migration access controls, connectivity and overall functionality.
• Document migration steps, decisions, risks and present results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience, preferably in production GCP environments.
• Proven experience with cloud migration or transformation projects.
• Relevant Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect) are a strong plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to work with ambiguity and communicate effectively in English.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – IAM, organizations, folders, projects, service accounts.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform on GCP.
• CI/CD pipelines – GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar.
• GCP networking – VPC, Shared VPC, firewall rules, load balancers, VPN/peering.
• Linux and Bash scripting.
• Git version control.
• Python scripting (nice to have).
• BigQuery and Looker Studio (Data Studio) (nice to have).
• Containers – Docker; orchestration – Kubernetes / GKE.
