DevOps Engineer – Cloud Automation & Reliability

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design, operate, and evolve critical cloud platforms, primarily on AWS with hybrid Azure scenarios. The role focuses on automation, reliability, security, and cost optimisation while collaborating closely with product and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and continuously improve AWS and Azure environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Design, develop, and maintain IaC using Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state, and promotion pipelines.
• Build and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure, integrating testing, security scanning, and deployment to Kubernetes or VMs.
• Provide expert troubleshooting for infrastructure incidents (IAM, VPN, RDP, AD, VPC, security groups, routing).
• Implement monitoring and observability with Prometheus and Grafana, creating dashboards, alerts, and SLO/SLI metrics.
• Participate in incident response, post‑mortems, and reliability improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ALB/NLB) and Azure workloads.
• Strong background in Terraform for large‑scale infrastructure provisioning.
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash and Python for automation and tooling.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production.
• Solid understanding of networking, access control, VPN, RDP, and Active Directory.
