DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Oeiras and help design, automate, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure. You will partner closely with software development teams to enhance delivery pipelines, cloud environments, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
• Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or hybrid platforms.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, availability and security via observability tools.
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment processes and operational efficiency.
• Support incident management, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply security best practices and contribute to DevSecOps initiatives.
• Automate operational tasks through scripting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience administering Linux‑based systems.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with IaC tools, especially Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Understanding of networking, security and system administration concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
