DevOps Engineer (AWS) – Hybrid (Coimbra)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer specialized in AWS to join a leading European digital automotive marketplace. The role is hybrid, with most work remote and a monthly presence at our Coimbra office. You will help design, build, and maintain large‑scale cloud solutions that support multi‑billion‑dollar transaction volumes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, SES, RDS and Lambda.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Git, GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues.
• Ensure security best practices across all AWS environments.
• Define and evolve processes aligned with industry standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with AWS and DevOps trends.
• Collaborate with product engineering, technical leads, engineering managers and architects.
• Participate in knowledge‑sharing and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer in AWS environments.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• AWS Professional Certification is a plus.
