Data Scientist – Clinical Trials & Predictive Modeling

About the role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join a cutting‑edge team at the intersection of data science and healthcare. You will develop predictive models that influence treatment outcomes in clinical trials, helping shape future trial design and clinical decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models for treatment outcomes using harmonised clinical trial data.
• Work with integrated datasets from multiple Randomised Controlled Trials, ensuring robustness and consistency.
• Apply statistical modelling and machine learning techniques to solve complex healthcare problems.
• Analyse longitudinal and time‑series data, handling missing values and irregular sampling.
• Contribute to causal inference and treatment‑effect estimation analyses.
• Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisation tools (e.g., R Shiny).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with data‑governance standards, SOPs and best practices.

Required profile

• PhD with 1 year of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years in healthcare data analytics.
• Experience with clinical trial or real‑world evidence data, understanding of standard data structures and quality challenges.
• Strong foundation in statistical modelling, machine learning and causal inference.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R and familiarity with cloud‑based data platforms.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
