Data Science Associate GenAI

About the role

We are looking for a Data Science Associate specialized in Generative AI to join Metyis’ Data & Analytics team at our Digital Campus in Porto. You will work on cutting‑edge AI projects, turning advanced research into production‑ready solutions for real‑world business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Independently design, develop, and deploy generative AI models for business use cases.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Conduct in‑depth research on the latest generative AI advancements and integrate relevant innovations into projects.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional experience in AI.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Proven track record of building and deploying generative AI models in production.
• Strong problem‑solving, project‑management and client‑facing experience.
• Publications or open‑source contributions in the AI domain are a plus.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools.
• Machine learning and generative AI techniques.
