Data Lead

About the role

Acolad is creating a governed Data Operating System for the Group and needs a hands‑on Data Lead to own the end‑to‑end surface of data products. You will lead an analytics squad that models data in Snowflake, builds executive dashboards in Tableau, and governs KPI definition, certification and consumption across Finance, Sales, Operations and client delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain canonical Snowflake data models that feed executive and operational reporting.
• Deliver clean, fast, decision‑grade Tableau dashboards for the CEO, CFO, CRO and Executive Committee.
• Run the KPI registry as the single source of truth, ensuring metrics are signed off by accountable business owners before work begins.
• Own the demand pipeline: decompose requests, qualify against definitions, prioritize against capacity and keep requesters informed.
• Act as the trusted first point of contact for Finance, Sales Operations, Account Management and the Executive Committee.
• Establish and enforce testing, reconciliation and validation standards to guarantee auditable and correct outputs.
• Apply and extend data contracts, certification standards, access policies and dashboard rationalisation to reduce sprawl and increase trust.
• Lead, coach and grow a small analytics team, setting technical standards and fostering a player‑coach culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading analytics or data teams in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business questions into governed data products.
• Track record of delivering executive‑level dashboards and ensuring data quality and reproducibility.
• Ability to prioritize demand, protect delivery from scope creep and communicate status clearly.
