Data Engineer – Modern Workplace

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer specialized in Modern Workplace device solutions to join our team in Portugal. You will work across Lisbon and Porto, ensuring that device configurations, security baselines, and lifecycle processes are well‑documented, compliant, and continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

• Support readiness activities for Modern Workplace devices, maintaining up‑to‑date documentation, processes and controls.
• Perform gap analyses, control validation, configuration reviews and consolidate evidence with engineering, operations and compliance teams.
• Maintain technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, runbooks, device‑management workflows and security baselines.
• Facilitate risk and control reviews, identify weaknesses and drive mitigation actions.
• Organise workshops and walkthroughs to align stakeholders on standards and practices.
• Contribute to governance artefacts (dashboards, RAID logs, KPIs) and act as a central point for product information.
• Translate gaps into remediation plans, coordinate multidisciplinary workstreams and track progress through KPIs and dashboards.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (3‑6 years) in Modern Workplace or device engineering.
• Strong background in risk, control management and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Good understanding of identity and access management, including Azure AD/Entra ID and conditional access.
