Cyber Security Engineer – Penetration Tester (f/m/d)

About the role

Join EnBW's Cyber Defense team in Lisbon as a Cyber Security Engineer focused on penetration testing. You will work in an agile, international environment to protect critical energy infrastructure and digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests on web, Windows, cloud and AI environments.
• Operate and maintain security scanning and attack‑surface monitoring solutions.
• Identify, analyse and exploit vulnerabilities in internal and external systems.
• Simulate real‑world attack scenarios, including red‑team and APT simulations.
• Document findings and deliver clear, actionable remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to improve the overall security posture.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities and AI‑driven attack techniques.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing or offensive security.
• Solid understanding of common attack vectors and web‑application security.
• Ability to produce clear, structured security reports.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
