Cyber Security Engineer – Banking Sector

About the role

Join Devoteam as a Cyber Security Engineer focused on the banking sector. You will lead and deliver a wide range of security projects, helping clients protect their critical assets and comply with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity projects across multiple sectors, especially banking.
• Conduct audits, vulnerability assessments, and technical evaluations.
• Design, implement, and optimise security controls and solutions.
• Support risk management processes and develop incident response plans.
• Deploy, configure, and fine‑tune monitoring solutions; analyse alerts and events.
• Produce clear, actionable reports summarising findings and recommendations.
• Develop and deliver engaging cybersecurity awareness programmes for clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar security‑focused role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• High ethical standards, professional integrity and effective communication.

Required skills

• Linux and Windows operating system security.
• Cloud and on‑premises network security.
• Virtualisation platform security.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and solutions.
• Risk management and incident response lifecycle.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST, CIS and SOC 2 frameworks.
• Vulnerability assessment and security audit techniques.
• Security controls implementation and monitoring solutions.
