Cyber Security Analyst – Penetration Testing

About the role

As a Cyber Security Analyst at Volkswagen Financial Services, you will focus on analysing penetration‑test findings to protect our organisation and its subsidiaries from evolving cyber threats. You will work closely with system owners, pentesters and risk stakeholders to ensure vulnerabilities are correctly identified, assessed and remediated.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse penetration‑test reports, verify technical correctness, severity and reproducibility of findings.
• Request clarifications from testers or system owners and evaluate proposed remediation approaches.
• Validate that implemented fixes fully address the original vulnerability before closure.
• Advise engineering and operations teams on mitigation actions and support them in interpreting remediation guidance.
• Review extension requests for pentest findings and assess risk impact.
• Collaborate with security operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with internal standards and regulatory frameworks (EBA, BAIT, DORA, TIBER‑EU).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the enterprise‑wide penetration‑testing framework.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in penetration testing, security assessments, red teaming or secure development.
• Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and how they are exploited.
• Experience working in a regulated financial environment is a plus.
