Costing Data Analyst – Controlling Team

About the role

Airbus Portugal is seeking a Costing Data Analyst to join its controlling team in Lisbon. You will be responsible for defining, maintaining and improving costing references and data models that support business decisions across multiple European sites.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain standard costing references, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs.
• Collect, curate and keep up‑to‑date costing data from internal and external sources worldwide.
• Design and manage hourly rate structures, including escalation and de‑escalation rules.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the costing community, communicating updates and best practices.
• Develop, test and implement analytical models to uncover trends in costing datasets.
• Ensure compliance with internal storage guidelines (e.g., AXess methodology) and export control duties.
• Contribute to the Costing “Data Hub” and “Data Lake” strategy, providing high‑quality inputs and automation ideas.

Required profile

• Degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience in cost engineering or controlling.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, costing methodologies and industrial test practices.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across the UK, Germany, France and Spain.
• Flexibility to work across GMT+0/GMT+1 time zones while based in Lisbon.
• Professional level English.
