Control Auditor – Financial Data Integrity (CIB)

About the role

This position offers hands‑on experience in financial data integrity, accounting controls, and data analytics within an international Corporate & Investment Banking environment. You will work on a variety of financial products, apply accounting standards, and support second‑line control activities that ensure the reliability of CIB financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Perform granular data drilling, analysis, and labelling for ad‑hoc requests, notices, and risk‑related contributions.
• Assess first‑line accounting controls (LoD 1.1) and execute second‑line controls (LoD 1.2) during monthly and quarterly closings.
• Support the expansion of control activities to international CIB entities and develop new LoD 1.2 controls for Hub activities.
• Reconcile accounting versus inventories for outstanding and off‑balance‑sheet commitments and justify IFRS vs. French GAAP discrepancies.
• Perform controls on valuation of unrealised gains and losses, produce audit trails, and document selected notices.
• Build new controls for the Strategic Equity Capital Markets (SECM) scope and expand existing micro‑hedging controls under French GAAP.

Required profile

• Degree in Bank Accounting, Audit, or Management with mandatory audit experience.
• Strong interest or experience in financial controls, accounting processes, or audit.
• Solid understanding of financial instruments such as equities, loans, bonds, derivatives, repos, and commodities.
• Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
