Construction Site Supervisor – Structural & Finishing Works

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to lead structural and finishing works on a new hotel and event hall in Portugal. The role combines on‑site leadership with technical oversight to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day site operations for structural works, including formwork/shuttering and steel reinforcement.
• Oversee finishing trades such as plastering, painting, ceiling installation, wood cladding, and flooring (ceramic tiles and related finishes).
• Coordinate installation of doors, windows, and lighting fixtures according to project specifications.
• Manage external works, including walkways and landscaping.
• Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, and Portuguese construction standards.
• Monitor subcontractors and labor teams to maintain productivity, safety, and quality.
• Prepare and track budgets, material usage, and cost‑control measures.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues promptly, and maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure smooth communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or similar role on building projects, preferably hotels or commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of structural works (formwork/shuttering, steel reinforcement) and finishing trades.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
• Familiarity with Portuguese construction regulations and health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Fluency in Portuguese; English is an advantage.
