Compliance Manager – Banking

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to support the Bank in maintaining a robust compliance framework and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. The role partners with business units to provide regulatory guidance, assess compliance risks, and promote a culture of integrity and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the Bank’s compliance framework, policies, procedures and controls.
• Monitor compliance with applicable banking regulations, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Identify, assess and monitor compliance risks across business activities, products and processes.
• Provide advice and guidance to senior management and business teams on regulatory and compliance matters.
• Design and execute the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, including thematic reviews and control testing.
• Support the Bank’s AML/CFT framework, including customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring and escalation processes.
• Prepare compliance reports, dashboards and risk assessments for senior management and governance committees.
• Participate in the assessment and approval of new products, services, processes and material changes from a compliance perspective.
• Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives across the organisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Management or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in compliance within banking, financial services or another highly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulation and compliance frameworks, including AML/CFT, KYC/CDD, conduct risk and governance.
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical policies, controls and business processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management.
• High standards of integrity, discretion and professional ethics.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
