Chief Accountant

About the role

MGM Muthu Hotels is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead its accounting function across a portfolio of more than 50 luxury hotels worldwide. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with standards, and support the company’s financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and accounting documentation.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Monitor financial processes and drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support effective financial management.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Chief Accountant or in a senior accounting role, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
