Critical Software is seeking a Business Development Director for the Energy sector. This senior position will shape the company’s long‑term strategy, positioning, and growth in the energy market, translating technical excellence into lasting customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a focused business development strategy aligned with the company’s vision.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of the Energy ecosystem and identify high‑impact market opportunities.
• Build and nurture long‑lasting relationships with operational leaders and C‑level decision‑makers.
• Lead strategic account planning, long‑term client growth initiatives, and complex consultative sales cycles.
• Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to craft credible value propositions.
• Act as the internal reference point for Energy business development, aligning cross‑functional priorities.
• Represent Critical Software at executive meetings, industry events, and strategic customer engagements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of business development experience, preferably within the Energy sector.
• Strong technical or engineering background combined with proven commercial success.
• Demonstrated ability to open doors, shape strategic deals, and navigate complex sales cycles.
• Consultative, relationship‑driven approach with comfort engaging senior and C‑level stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Strategic mindset, resilience, high ownership, and willingness to travel across the EU and occasionally beyond.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance business development outcomes.
