AWS Cloud Engineer – Lisbon

About the role

Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to operate, monitor and maintain both AWS and on‑premises infrastructures in a hybrid environment. You will ensure platform availability, performance and security while supporting a range of strategic sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain AWS and on‑premises infrastructures supporting hybrid applications.
• Ensure availability, performance, resilience and operational security of application platforms.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure with Terraform, adhering to Landing Zone and security standards.
• Handle production incidents, problem management and operational changes.
• Contribute to hybrid architecture design, connectivity and network flow assessments.
• Support production deployments and integrate operational constraints into CI/CD pipelines.
• Produce and maintain runbooks, procedures and operational guides.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, Network, Security and Project teams following governance models.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years focused on cloud or hybrid infrastructure operations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with core AWS services.
• Solid background in on‑prem environments, virtualization and system administration (Linux/Windows).
• Proven experience operating hybrid cloud/datacenter environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
• Familiarity with automation/scripting tools such as Ansible, Bash or Python.
• Proficiency in English and French (B2 level).
