AWS Agent Core Engineer – DevOps (Observability)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Agent Core Engineer / DevOps professional to design and enhance observability capabilities for agent‑based solutions on AWS. You will join the Core Architecture Team, working on a large‑scale IoT product platform that serves billions of consumers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement observability frameworks for distributed, agent‑based systems.
• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and tracing pipelines using New Relic, OpenTelemetry, and related tools.
• Develop dashboards, alerts, SLO/SLI definitions, and reporting to ensure system health and performance visibility.
• Analyze system behavior, identify bottlenecks, and drive performance tuning in a Kubernetes environment.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of runtime components across AWS infrastructure.
• Integrate observability solutions with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Helm).
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer.
• 2+ years building AI agents or agent‑based systems (Agentic AI).
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, VPC, RDS, Route53, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Proficiency with Terraform for AWS, Kubernetes/Helm, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Programming expertise in Python (including FastAPI and Swagger) and scripting with Bash or PowerShell.
• Deep understanding of monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing concepts.
