AVP Wealth Advisor – Portugal

About the role

This position offers an ambitious wealth management professional the chance to step up as an Assistant Vice President Wealth Advisor in a fast‑growing, technology‑enabled financial services firm based in Portugal. You will work alongside a senior advisor, supporting a diverse client portfolio and gradually taking full ownership of relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Support and manage client relationships across retirement planning, tax strategy, investment management, equity compensation, real estate, and estate coordination.
• Assist a senior advisor while progressively assuming greater responsibility for client servicing.
• Convert new client inquiries and leads into long‑term advisory relationships.
• Develop business opportunities through referrals, networking, and community engagement.
• Utilise modern financial planning platforms to deliver personalized advice.
• Contribute to the operational growth and succession planning of the advisory practice.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related advisory role.
• Active Series 65 or Series 66 license.
• Strong understanding of core financial planning principles, including retirement, investment, and tax fundamentals.
• Client‑centric mindset with a focus on building trusted, long‑term relationships.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• CFP® designation (or in progress)
• Familiarity with eMoney financial planning tool
• Familiarity with MoneyGuidePro financial planning tool
