Android Developer – FinTech Platform

About the role

UMO, a stealth‑mode FinTech venture, is building an AI‑powered money platform that unifies fiat, crypto and investments. As an Android Developer you will own the native Android app, delivering high‑performance, secure and pixel‑perfect experiences for business owners, artists and freelancers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native Android features such as account views, real‑time transaction feeds, payments and multi‑asset dashboards.
• Integrate securely with backend services, handling sensitive financial data via REST APIs.
• Implement client‑side security measures including biometric authentication, Android Keystore token storage, certificate pinning and MFA flows.
• Translate design specifications into Material Design UI using Jetpack Compose.
• Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, MockK), conduct code reviews and optimise memory/resource usage across devices.
• Participate in sprint planning, provide estimates and align technical road‑map with product goals.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate UI iteration and test generation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience building native Android applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and hands‑on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Familiarity with modern Android architecture components and Jetpack libraries.
