Accountant (M/F) – Porto

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Accountant (M/F) to join our client’s finance team in Porto. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with group accounting policies, supporting month‑end close, and contributing to continuous improvement of financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Apply group accounting policies and internal control procedures (IcoFr framework).
• Execute monthly closing activities and prepare monthly packages for partners.
• Review partner‑provided packages, analyse balance‑sheet consolidation, IFRS and directional reporting.
• Participate in contract analysis and related legal documentation.
• Prepare audit packages, liaise with external auditors and handle ad‑hoc audit missions.
• Collaborate with the Tax Manager to compile tax packages and support tax reporting.
• Prepare financial statements for assigned entities, including audit and filing.
• Support partners with their financial statements and respond to ad‑hoc requests from the Accounting Lead/Manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or at an audit firm.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 37 and international statutory accounting and tax requirements.
• Fluency in English for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract until the end of the year, with strong possibility of extension.
• Salary range €1,800 – €2,400 per month, based on experience.
• Meal allowance of €9.60 per day.
