Account Executive – French Speaking (Portugal)

About the role

We are looking for a French‑speaking Account Executive based in Portugal to turn qualified product demonstrations into new, active customers for a fast‑growing global B2B marketplace. You will own the full commercial journey, from discovery and demo through negotiation, contract closure, compliance, onboarding and the first 90 days of customer activation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct discovery‑led product demos that align marketplace capabilities with each retailer’s purchasing workflow and business objectives.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, including proposal, objection handling, stakeholder alignment, negotiation and contract signing.
• Build trusted relationships with prospects and clearly communicate the value of broader supplier access, competitive pricing and marketplace efficiency.
• Drive KYC and compliance processes to completion, proactively resolving documentation issues.
• Own the customer journey during the first 90 days, guiding new accounts from initial searches to their first orders and repeat purchases.
• Collaborate with SDRs for strong qualification and handoffs, and with Account Managers to provide detailed account context before the day‑90 transition.
• Maintain accurate pipeline stages, activity records and forecasts, ensuring reliable commercial reporting.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as demo‑to‑close conversion, new business revenue, KYC completion time, 90‑day activation and forecast accuracy.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of proven experience in a closing sales role, preferably within a marketplace, transactional B2B/B2C platform, or the jewellery and diamond industry.
• Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, including liquidity, supply breadth, customer trust and transaction mechanics.
• Demonstrated ability to drive initial transactions that lead to long‑term purchasing behaviour.
