Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician ensures that manufacturing machinery and equipment operate reliably across all production areas. Working the 3rd shift (10 pm – 6:30 am), you will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and support equipment upgrades to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support manufacturing process machinery, including Multivac, Alloyds seals machines, vacuum and infusion pumps, and molding presses.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance, calibrations, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment operational problems using PLC diagnostics and control systems.
• Dismantle, repair, and re‑assemble devices with hand and power tools, removing defective parts and inspecting for imperfections.
• Assist with installation of new production equipment and the development of tooling, fixturing, and instrumentation.
• Maintain an organized workshop, manage spare‑part inventory, and initiate requisition orders.
• Document maintenance activities, keep records up to date, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and security procedures.
• Conduct audits of production machines, air‑conditioning units, and HEPA filters.
• Perform major repairs, overhauls, and upgrades as directed by supervisors.

Required profile

• Proven experience maintaining PLC‑controlled machinery and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Hands‑on experience with welding, drill presses, grinders, and other metal‑working tools.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Commitment to safety standards and ability to follow environmental and security protocols.
• Organized approach to workshop cleanliness, tool management, and spare‑part control.
