R2R Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated R2R Accountant to join Quanteam’s Finance & Accounting team in Lisbon. The role focuses on reconciling accounting data across systems, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting VAT reporting for our banking and financial services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reconciliation of accounting data between different systems and tools.
• Analyze accounting entries to identify discrepancies or anomalies.
• Prepare VAT reports based on accounting and financial data.
• Monitor and investigate open items within vendor and client accounts.
• Execute accounting controls in line with corporate policies and procedures.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial records.
• Collaborate with international stakeholders to resolve accounting and reconciliation issues.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Finance or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Accounting Officer, R2R Analyst or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment.
• Fluent English; basic French is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP or Oracle.
• Knowledge of VAT reporting processes.

What we offer

• Gross annual salary ranging from €22,000 to €60,500, based on experience.
