Maintenance Technician (Equipment)

About the role

EQVAL Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment serving medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology clients. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure high equipment availability and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) on lathes, freezers, furnaces, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components.
• Manage work orders and PM activities in the CMMS, ensuring accurate entry and timely closure.
• Maintain documentation, part requisitions, and inspection records according to established procedures.
• Support equipment qualifications, process validations, transfers, and utility systems with required testing and documentation.
• Conduct effective shift handoffs to communicate equipment status and priorities.

Required profile

• Associate or technical degree from a recognized institution.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical devices, pharma, biotech).
• Availability for 12‑hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Proficiency with CMMS platforms such as Maximo, SAP, or Oracle.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
• Ability to read schematics, plans, and technical documentation.
