Lean Construction Management Specialist – Building Solutions

About the role

Join Siemens Energy as a Lean Construction Management Specialist where you will apply Lean principles to drive efficiency, transparency and continuous improvement across complex construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, designers, contractors and digital teams to embed a culture of operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Lean methodologies such as the Last Planner System, pull planning and value‑stream mapping on major construction projects.
• Facilitate collaborative planning sessions, constraint analysis and workshops to improve schedule reliability.
• Map, analyze and optimise construction workflows, identifying waste and developing targeted improvement strategies.
• Deploy Lean tools including takt planning, root‑cause analysis, 5S and visual management systems.
• Monitor production metrics, detect bottlenecks and integrate data capture with digital dashboards and analytics platforms.
• Coach and develop stakeholders at all levels, creating training material and global guidelines for Lean practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience applying Lean methodologies in construction, industrial facilities or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Construction frameworks (Last Planner System, takt planning, value‑stream mapping).
• Experience across all project delivery phases from design to hand‑over.
• Proven ability to lead workshops, coach multicultural teams and drive behavioural change.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction management, civil or industrial engineering.
• Advanced English proficiency and willingness to travel internationally.
