Senior Project Manager – High Voltage Substations

About the role

Join Siemens Energy as a Senior Project Manager responsible for the high‑voltage substation component of a new datacenter campus in Portugal. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning through to handover, ensuring the delivery of critical power infrastructure that meets the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of high‑voltage substation projects aligned with overall datacenter program objectives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource plans using standard project management tools.
• Monitor progress against scope, schedule, and budget, applying corrective actions when deviations arise.
• Identify, analyse, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external quality and safety standards specific to high‑voltage environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience delivering large‑scale high‑voltage substation or power infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of a team of around 20 direct reports.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time between Portugal, factories, and work sites.
