General Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

The General Manager will lead all hotel operations at Hyatt Place Bayamón, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and consistent brand standards. This full‑time, on‑site position oversees every department, from front desk to housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance teams.
• Develop and mentor staff, set performance expectations, and foster a collaborative, service‑focused culture.
• Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and implement revenue and cost‑control strategies to meet profitability targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and brand standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement activities.
• Address guest feedback promptly and represent the hotel within the local community.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a limited‑service or select‑service hotel.
• Strong leadership, team‑development, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and cost control.
• Excellent guest‑service orientation and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple operational priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
