Associate Customer Service

About the role

Abbott is seeking an Associate Customer Service to join its Arecibo, Puerto Rico team within the CRM division. The role supports manufacturing and sales operations by ensuring accurate order processing, inventory management, and billing for medical‑device products.

Key responsibilities

• Perform proactive follow‑up calls to sales representatives and handle complaints to obtain implant information, purchase order numbers, and device‑tracking data.
• Verify and process purchases; coordinate distribution of generators, leads, instruments and accessories to hospitals or sales representatives.
• Research and resolve order problems, correct orders as needed, and release them for patient processing.
• Prepare billing corrections to ensure accurate billing and proper commission payments.
• Identify root causes of issues and implement preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Monitor “use‑before‑date” of sterilized inventory and work with sales teams to minimize expiration losses.
• Support company initiatives related to Quality Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in customer service or order‑management within a regulated environment.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with sales representatives, hospitals, and internal teams.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Understanding of FDA and other regulatory requirements is preferred.
