About the role

Ryan is seeking a Sales Manager to lead business development for its Innovation Funding practice, focusing on R&D tax credits, grants and related advisory services, with a secondary focus on Property Tax solutions. The role combines consultative sales expertise with deep knowledge of Ryan’s value proposition to help organisations secure funding for innovation while optimizing tax positions.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within Innovation Funding and Property Tax practices.
  • Collaborate with Client Services Directors, Principals and Service Delivery teams to develop tailored proposals and engagement letters.
  • Maintain regular client contact through meetings, calls and digital communication, building trusted relationships with key decision‑makers.
  • Represent Ryan at industry events, conferences and client meetings to generate leads and enhance visibility.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on EU and Portuguese funding programmes, R&D tax credit regulations and property tax developments.
  • Manage accurate records in Salesforce and coordinate cross‑selling opportunities between service lines.
  • Prepare pitch decks, presentations and market intelligence to support the sales process.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 + years of business development or consultative sales experience.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
