People Operations Specialist – French Speaker

About the role

As a People Operations Specialist with French language expertise, you will join Thales’ HR Shared Service Center in Lisbon. You will support employees and managers across multiple countries, ensuring a consistent and high-quality employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employees, providing guidance on a wide range of HR topics with a people-first mindset.
• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding to off-boarding, guaranteeing smooth transitions.
• Maintain and update HR systems and employee data, ensuring accuracy, compliance and high data-quality standards.
• Support international HR operations, including mobility, onboarding and day-to-day administration.
• Prepare and manage HR documentation such as contracts, letters and reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives and HR projects to optimise processes and enhance employee experience.

Required profile

• Degree in HR, Management or related field, or equivalent hands-on HR operations experience.
• Fluency in French and English (mandatory).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently and empathetically with diverse stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, structured mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proactive, adaptable and solution-driven attitude in a fast-paced, international environment.

Required skills

• Experience with HR tools such as Workday or ServiceNow (preferred).
