Cyber Security Engineer (Hybrid – Portugal)

About the role

Stadler Digital Labs is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen the security of its rail‑focused digital solutions. The role is hybrid, based in either Coimbra or Lisbon, and supports the joint venture’s mission to embed cybersecurity across innovative transportation products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review security architectures for OT and IT environments.
• Conduct network security assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability analyses.
• Perform security risk assessments and support compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security best practices into product development.
• Stay updated on emerging AI trends and evaluate their impact on security processes.

Required profile

• Academic background in Cyber Security or equivalent professional experience.
• Proactive learning attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Fluent English communication.
• Interest in AI developments and their application to security.

Required skills

• Knowledge of security architecture concepts and network security.
• Experience with threat modelling, security risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments.
• Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 21434, and the NIST Cyber Security Framework.
• OSCP certification (preferred).
• Understanding of OT security (a plus).
