Software Engineer II – Developer Platform

About the role

Iterable’s Developer Platform team builds the shared engineering foundations that enable fast, reliable software delivery across the company. As a Software Engineer II you will own platform initiatives that improve developer velocity, reduce operational toil, and strengthen the tooling ecosystem used by all engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Improve developer velocity by creating internal systems that speed up local development, cut CI wait times, reduce flaky tests, and simplify service onboarding.
• Strengthen shared engineering foundations by contributing to Scala codebases, Bazel build configurations, CI pipelines, and reusable platform components.
• Identify repetitive manual processes and replace them with automated solutions to lower engineering toil.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering squads to turn recurring friction points into durable, automated platform capabilities.

Required profile

• Software engineer who enjoys solving developer‑experience problems at the intersection of code, build systems, CI infrastructure, and shared tooling.
• Proven ability to own well‑scoped platform projects from design through production.
• Strong collaboration skills to work across diverse engineering teams.
