Senior Software Engineer – Integrations 3P Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Elastic’s Integrations team and help make Elastic visible inside the emerging AI ecosystem. The role focuses on building developer‑facing surfaces, such as language clients, CLI, MCP server and third‑party integrations, so that Elastic is easy to find, connect to and use.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its Go‑based infrastructure.
• Develop the universal agent‑skill platform, including portable formats, authoring tools and linting.
• Set correctness standards by backing skills and tools with evaluations.
• Design and deliver integrations that embed Elastic into third‑party AI ecosystems, collaborating with product teams and partners.
• Contribute to the Elastic CLI to improve developer efficiency.
• Maintain libraries, tools and integrations for the Elastic Stack using Go, Rust and other languages.

Required profile

• 8+ years of backend, service or library engineering experience.
• Strong product thinking and ability to shape what should be built.
• Comfort with rapid context‑switching in a fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including with external partners.
• Self‑motivation and ability to work independently in a remote, globally distributed team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go (recent experience required).
• Experience with Rust is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, LLMs, agents and MCP protocol.
• Understanding of client‑server networking, HTTP and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with industry best practices for software engineering and evaluation‑driven correctness.
