Senior Mobile Developer (Android) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android developer to join our fully remote team based in Portugal. You will work closely with engineering and client teams to design, build, and maintain high‑quality mobile applications that drive business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Design and implement robust architectures such as MVVM.
• Deliver intuitive user experiences with smooth visual interactions.
• Write clean, testable code and maintain strong unit and UI test coverage.
• Own features from development through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with clients and cross‑functional teams to shape technically feasible solutions.
• Participate in architectural and design discussions.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues promptly.
• Apply best practices like test‑driven development, continuous delivery, and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Proficient in Kotlin with exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Experience building declarative UIs with Jetpack Compose (and Compose Multiplatform where applicable).
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming using Coroutines or RxJava.
• Solid grasp of software architecture patterns such as MVVM.
• Experience with unit and UI testing practices and tools.
• Knowledge of service‑oriented architectures, design patterns, and core data structures.
• Background working in cross‑functional, feature‑focused teams.
• Comfortable collaborating with clients to refine technical requirements.
• Familiarity with test‑driven development and continuous delivery.
• Awareness of performance and operational considerations in app development.
