Senior Java Engineer – SSO & Identity Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to support an insurance client by maintaining and evolving enterprise applications. The position focuses on security and identity management, especially Single Sign‑On (SSO) integration within a complex legacy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance enterprise Java applications with a strong emphasis on security.
• Design, implement and support SSO integrations using OAuth2, OpenID Connect and SAML.
• Connect applications to identity providers such as OKTA and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and manage database logic using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Deploy, configure and troubleshoot applications on Linux/Unix servers, Apache Tomcat and Apache HTTP Server.
• Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure and security teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with SSO integration and protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML).
• Proven work with OKTA and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) identity providers.
• Strong Java development background in enterprise/legacy contexts.
• Deep knowledge of the Spring Framework (Spring Webflow preferred).
• Extensive experience with Oracle databases and complex PL/SQL stored procedures.
• Ability to work autonomously, analyse problems and collaborate across multiple teams.
