Senior French Payroll Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a senior payroll professional to manage French payroll operations for a multinational company based in Porto. The role combines oversight of outsourced payroll processing with hands‑on calculations, compliance and employee support.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and audit payroll work performed by the external provider, ensuring high quality.
• Calculate overtime, severance, bonuses and profit‑sharing, and reconcile Social Security sick‑leave payments.
• Monitor and implement changes in French tax and labour legislation, maintaining continuous compliance.
• Respond to employee payslip inquiries and act as liaison with HR, ADP and French official bodies.
• Provide back‑office support for payroll and assist with general back‑office operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, Law or related field.
• At least eight years of senior payroll experience in France, with deep knowledge of French labour law and collective agreements.
• Experience in an HR shared‑service or contact‑center environment is a plus.
• Fluent French (C1/C2) and functional English (B1).
