Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

Farfetch is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team in Porto. The role will support the monthly closing process, ensure accurate financial reporting, and help implement new accounting standards across the global organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare bookings of assets, liabilities, revenues and expense entries by compiling and analysing accounting information.
• Monitor sub‑ledgers, verify transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyse trial‑balance variances and assess their reasonableness.
• Consolidate group financial information, including Balance Sheet and P&L, and support disclosures in financial statements.
• Assist in the implementation of new IFRS standards.
• Supervise junior team members as needed.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in meetings and drive progress on accounting projects.
• Introduce, organise and implement new accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide support to colleagues on specific accounting operations.
• Maintain effective internal controls.
• Support external audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, economics, management or auditing.
• At least 5 years of functional experience in accounting, auditing or consolidation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Hands‑on experience with financial consolidation, either as a preparer or auditor.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and ability to meet strict deadlines.
