Senior Accountant (Agriculture & Consulting)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join Aquaterra Group, a fast‑growing consulting and agricultural services company. The role will support the expanding financial operations of our irrigated avocado and tangerine farms, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and effective team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Junior Accountant, reviewing invoice postings, payments and related tasks.
• Record and process accounting entries such as accruals, deferrals, cost‑of‑goods‑sold calculations and adjustments.
• Conduct account analysis, reconciliations and produce control reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial closings.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Help ensure compliance with tax obligations and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting or a related field.
• 4–5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Certified Accountant registration is a plus.
• High level of responsibility, organization and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ERP system Primavera.
