SAP IT Tax Technical Consultant

About the role

Excelia is seeking an experienced SAP IT Tax Technical Consultant to join its Porto office on a hybrid basis. You will work closely with business departments to design, develop, and maintain tax‑related SAP solutions that meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse functional and methodological requirements and propose process‑oriented SAP solutions.
• Participate in software component selection and train end‑users on optimal usage.
• Develop IT concepts independently based on customer specifications.
• Build, enhance, and test custom tax recording and reporting implementations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on project delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP IT Tax consulting or development.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, AR/AP sub‑ledgers, general ledger, and VAT reporting.
• Experience with tax platforms for e‑invoicing (e.g., PEPPOL) and third‑party tax applications.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• SAP ABAP, ABAP OO, Fiori, and BTP development.
• Configuration of tax determination in SAP MM, SD, and FI.
• Integration with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) for e‑invoicing.
• Familiarity with Sovos, Deloitte taxCube, or Vertex.
• Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, JIRA usage.
